BACK GROUND

I directed and produced the music video for "A Certain Meteor Shower," the lead track from Fujitakako's digital EP "nude." This work, which is a counterpart to her previous EP "dress," is actually part of a trilogy starting with the "Emily" music video. My goal was to express the various fluctuating emotions within Fujitakako herself through these three works.

COMMENT

The video depicts the passage of time through time-lapse footage shot in Nagasaki, and the flow of time is portrayed by Fujita herself enveloped in light. Combining these elements, it depicts a story from night to morning, just for the two of them, where a song is born and they hold hands, using light and the flow of time. The animation in the main part of the video is a line drawing of the collage motif created for the jacket artwork of "dress," with an awareness of the overall harmony of the work.
